All about Australian Women
You can’t be perfect. Perfection shouldn’t be the goal. Your best should be the goal.
I was privileged to work for a brief period with the lovely Robelen Bajar and heard about woman.com.au. It was something I wish I had the motivation, time and energy to do myself so naturally I wanted to jump on board! It’s a great platform for promoting the work of inspiring women and I am so grateful I can be a part of that and contribute some of my skills.
I have fallen into the world of corporate writing through a series of work accidents. A love of books and the written word has always been part of my life so it is probably only partially an accident.
You can’t be perfect. Perfection shouldn’t be the goal. Your best should be the goal.
A happy life consisting of a roof over my head, a loving partner, happy, healthy friends and family and good healthy food. I have simple but quality goals!
If you can call a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing and Publishing a side project then that is my side project! I love it and it’s my creative escape from corporate writing. Shhhh I’ve also got an antique french settee I need to restore in my spare time but that will probably take me even longer to finish.
Something where I can be creative, engaged with the work, have a view of the ocean and an endless supply of chocolate. This is a dream. Let me dream.
At work I love working with good people who care about what they do and the people they work with. I make sure I try to have fun every day no matter what sort of pressure we’re under. Outside of work, I’m close to my family and I care about my community so I volunteer with a couple of organisations.
Small minded racist and sexist attitudes from the dark ages.
There are many but my top three might be:
twitter – I follow some people who post thought provoking and interesting articles
Harvard Business Review – Some good articles for us corporate types
icanhascheezburger.com – I don’t think I need to explain this
Aung San Suu Kyi, the Burmese pro democracy leader. She has had an incredible life and gives perspective to those of us who think we have problems in our privileged western lives.
